Xbox Game Pass subscribers now have access to two more incredible adventures: Rise of the Tomb Raider and Little Nightmares 2.
The two highly rated games provide another example of the varied selection of titles available to members of Microsoft’s subscription gaming service. With the highest tiers featuring a rotating catalog of hundreds of titles, including some that are playable on launch day, Xbox Game Pass continues to offer an enticing value proposition for many gamers.
In fact, in recent months, Xbox Game Pass has been on such an incredible hot streak that many people fear that it can only inevitably go downhill from here. The list of outstanding games added to the subscription service so far in 2025 include Sandfall Interactive’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, Blue Prince, Dredge, Balatro, and The Alters in June.
There have already been many exciting games announced to be coming to Xbox Game Pass in July, and the month is kicking off with two titles that should appeal to a variety of gamers: Little Nightmares 2 and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Happily, both of these additions originally released several years ago, meaning they are available for subscribers of all tiers except Core.
Crystal Dynamics’ Rise of the Tomb Raider was originally released in 2015, and it has already been part of the Xbox Game Pass catalog a couple of times in the past. It is the direct sequel to 2013’s reboot of the series and continues the adventures of Lara Croft as she heads to Siberia in search of a legendary city. The game currently has a Mighty rating on OpenCritic, with reviewers praising its stunning environments and graphics, deep characters and story, and enjoyable stealth segments.
Little Nightmares 2 is the 2021 follow-up to Tarsier Studios’ award-winning adventure game. It reacquaints players with the first title’s endearing protagonist, Six, and introduces a new character, Mono. This time, the gameplay centers around controlling the two to navigate the Pale City, a mysterious world full of dangers. With an overall Steam rating of Very Positive, Little Nightmares 2 offers something both for fans of horror and stealth.
Though the full gamut of titles planned for Xbox Game Pass in July hasn’t yet been revealed, subscribers already have a few games to look forward to, including three day-one additions. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 is coming on July 11 and has fans of the original games very excited. On July 24, Leenzee Games’ highly anticipated roguelike Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is launching on multiple platforms, including Xbox and Game Pass, and Obsidian’s Grounded 2 will enter early access on July 29.
